Each grade in the Lower School has a strong, integrated curriculum taught by dedicated teachers and specialists. Small class sizes that average 15 students provide a nurturing environment and allow teachers to tailor instruction to individual student styles and needs. Our program emphasizes skills and learning in reading, writing, math, social studies, physical education, computer, library, Hebrew, and Torah. Our renowned arts program includes music, visual art, drama, and dance.

The Lower School successfully uses the Responsive Classroom approach to teaching and learning. This methodology recognizes that it is just as important to understand how children learn as what they need to learn. Teachers help students grow socially with respect and caring, identify with the students clear meaningful boundaries for behavior and emphasize cooperation, assertion, responsibility, empathy, and self-control (CARES) throughout the day. The Responsive Classroom helps foster safe, challenging and joyful classrooms.
