This session will focus on early symptoms of developmental disorders and ways that teachers and parents can address their concerns to ensure their students have the best academic experience possible. We will discuss typical developmental milestones, as well as warning signs that a child may benefit from assessment and intervention.

Using the Vaad Din, Talmud Torah of St. Paul Day School’s student-led conflict resolution committee that ran from 1992 to 20002, as an example, we will explore how to begin having conversations with children about fairness, responsibility, and community and what may be fruitful starting points to these discussions.
