With Rabbi Amy Eilberg
Dates: Mondays, Nov.16 – Dec. 14
Time: 7:00-8:30 pm CST
Our generation is witness to a racial justice uprising, a second civil rights movement. All thoughtful Americans are called to step up in new ways. As Jews, we bring our sacred texts, our rich lived history, and our questions to this work.
In this class, we explore central concepts related to race, racism, implicit bias and white privilege, through a combination of brief readings, videos, podcasts, interpersonal exercises, and mindful conversation. We will do so with the support of mindfulness and Mussar* practices, to help us engage with challenging material in a gentle and reflective way. We will create space to ask deep questions about our connection to racist systems, and to explore the middot (qualities of the soul) that are involved as we learn and practice.
Come join us for a deeply meaningful experience.
