Thank you for your interest in Talmud Torah of St. Paul’s Midrasha program. For over 60 years we have provided our students with quality, substantive education in Hebrew and Jewish studies, preparing them for participation in and leadership of the Jewish community. TTSP has no affiliation to any one Jewish movement or congregation. Our students come from diverse backgrounds and practices. We encourage our students to meet on the common ground of tolerance, self-respect, and the shared values of cooperation. Our programs educate students in grades 9-12 and are taught by teachers who are passionate about their subjects and their students.

Midrasha is an important opportunity for students to engage both intellectually and socially as Jewish young adults. The program meets on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm with a variety of options for participation: Hebrew, text study, and electives which can be taken in varying combinations.

Included in the full Midrasha program are three periods of Hebrew, two periods of “text” and one elective. We encourage students to enroll in the full program as that enables students to grow their Jewish learning/thinking skills as well as their Hebrew language skills. We also offer the option for students to take Hebrew only (3 hours, spread over two nights), text only (2 or 3 hours on one or two nights), electives only (1 hour on either or both nights).

Parents ultimately don’t have the final word in what kind of Jewish life their adult children choose but they do have lots of opportunities to make a difference. “Don’t pass up any chance to keep your Jewish values in the next generation – and the next,” writes Rabbi Yosi Gordon, an esteemed member of our faculty. We invite you to consider enrolling your child at TTSP  to support their growth as Jews and as citizens of the world.
